Talent Acquisition Manager

Quartz is building out an internal Talent & Culture team and is seeking an experienced, high-energy and impassioned Talent Acquisition Manager with an obsessive interest in media and compulsion to find the most original and exceptional talent.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Work closely with Director, Talent & Culture, executive team, and hiring managers to establish and maintain Quartz’s recruiting process.
  • Network and build relationships within the New York and international media communities.
  • Utilize and manage social networking platforms to build pipelines and source candidates.
  • Conduct research on the sales and media industry and monitor current trends in the marketplace.
  • Interview for a variety of positions to assess cognitive skills, interpersonal skills, writing ability and motivation.
  • Market the company to candidates, developing a sense for what sells in this market and how to package our positions and opportunities.
  • Manage existing pipelines for talent and build new ones: generating new ideas for candidate sourcing, driving internal referrals and when appropriate managing relationships with search firms.

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • International experience and languages, as well as prior work in a startup or media organization are strong pluses.
