Director of Accounting and Tax

Quartz is seeking a Director to lead Quartz’s Accounting & Tax team. Leading a three-person team, the Accounting & Tax Director will be chiefly responsible for all accounting and tax activity for the business-units under management.

The Director of Accounting will:

  • Manage all general ledger activity as well as the month-end close process (including some preparation and review of all close reconciliations)
  • Oversee contract review to ensure compliance with US GAAP
  • Prepare quarterly/semi-annual/annual consolidation package for Parent Company
  • Manage billing and collections, as well as assist in capital management
  • Complete tax preparation and filing activities
  • Analyze balance sheet KPI trends
  • Manage audits
  • Manage internal controls over financial reporting in accordance with SOX


Qualifications of the Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will possess a CPA License and have experience establishing and managing internal controls for financial reporting, and will have successfully advanced their career while managing a team in a high growth environment.
