Executive Assistant to Chief Business and Product Officer

We are seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to support The Atlantic's Chief Business & Product Officer and her team in New York. He/she will need to be exceptionally organized and communicative, a masterful problem-solver, and a collaborative team player.

Required Skills

  • Coordinate internal and external meetings 
  • Manage complex calendars 
  • Prepare expense reports
  • Handle travel arrangements 
  • Coordinate team staff meetings and product reviews: prepare agendas, facilitate pre-read documents, take notes, and actuate follow-up items
  • Coordinate knowledge management by maintaining databases, shared drives, and slack channels
  • Organize team offsite events and help with space-planning
  • Perform special projects and general office duties as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience providing administrative support to 1 or more senior executives in a fast-paced media and/or consumer product environment
  • 3+ years of experience coordinating travel logistics on behalf of 1 or more executives
  • 3+ years of calendar management and expense report management experience for 1 or more executives
  • Experience prioritizing multiple projects
  • A calm, cool, and collected mind—a constitution that affords “grace under fire”—coupled with a personality inclined toward perpetual positivity and kindness
  • Ability to adapt and lead in an environment of change
  • Experience with Google Apps, Microsoft Office, Keynote

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA/BS
  • Industry: Internet and/or Media
  • The conviction that high-quality journalism is fundamentally important—and the desire to help it thrive
  • A sense of humor
