We’re looking for a sharp, driven reporter who can uncover important stories on a critical beat and explain them to our audience.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Writing a mix of feature stories and blog posts on a daily basis.
  • Developing key sources and leveraging them to produce original reporting.
  • Collaborating with other members of the Nextgov editorial staff to get the most out of our IT coverage.
  • Working on longform articles and special editorial projects.
  • Occasionally moderating panel discussions and one-on-one interviews at Nextgov events.

Qualifications of the Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in covering information technology issues.
  • Strong writing and analytical skills and high attention to detail.
  • Ability to quickly digest complicated information and produce stories on deadline.
  • A positive, good-natured, energetic attitude.

Core Attributes:

Across Atlantic Media, generally, the firm looks for two “pillar gifts” in its candidates.  In all of us, these are more aspirational than actual, but they are central in our intentions.

Force of Intellect - Atlantic Media seeks a discipline and rigor of thought as manifested, often, in exceptional academic performance and, later, success in a professional environment.
Spirit of Generosity - Equally, Atlantic Media seeks what we term a spirit of generosity – a natural disposition towards service and selfless conduct.
